THE SKINNY:

This was one of the most hyped and eagerly anticipated matches of the eighties (probably second only to Andre-Hogan at Wrestlemania III). During the match itself, the crowd was basically split down the middle with both as equal fan favorites. While referee Dave Hebner was unintentionally knocked unconscious, Hogan pinned the Warrior and then the Warrior had Hogan pinned too. So, the match then became an unnoficial two out of three falls contest. Eventually Hebner wakes up, and Hogan seems as if he is going to smash the Warrior with his patented leg drop. The Warrior rolls out of the way and jumps on Hogan with his usual body press. The Warrior gets the pinfall. Hogan is a gracious loser and hands the belt over to the Ultimate Warrior.
