On several occasions, including episode 7G12 Krusty Gets Busted 4/29/90, it is documented that Krusty cannot read. Yet, on many other episodes, Krusty is often reading a telepromter.
WAYLAN SMITHERS
In his first appearance on The Simpsons, Waylan Smithers was mistakenly inked in as an African American. His skin color was later corrected to yellow in all future episodes. Notice the low quality of the animation from the 1st season.
Grandpa Simpson won the house (in which Homer grew up in) on a crooked 50's gameshow. Grandpa said he "ratted on everyone and got off scot free."
Grandpa was voted the handsomest boy in Albany, NY (according to Grandpa of course).
In episode 7G04 There's No Disgrace Like Home 1/28/90, Homer says, "You know, Moe, my mom once said something that really stuck with me. She said, 'Homer, you're a big disappointment," and, God bless her soul, she was really on to something." This insinuates that his mother is dead, but she is later found to be alive in episode 3F06 Mother Simpson when she comes to visit Homer. Grandpa had told Homer that she was dead, but she really was in hiding.
